Pliable armoured steel conduits
Flexible armoured steel conduits are made of galvanised high-quality sheet iron in multi-layer design. The narrow corrugations makes them extremely flexible. An impregnated paper layer is incorporated in the pipes to protect against moisture. One type is available with plastic coat for protection against corrosion. As a result, these pipes offer protection against moisture, aggressive vapours and liquids as well as dangerous contact voltage.
All flexible armoured steel conduits are suited for high compression loads. The uncoated types are temperature-resistant up to 250 °C. They are easy to use; no need for special tools or bends. Simple fastening with clamps is sufficient. The narrow grooving can be screwed tightly into all standardised steel pipe connections; there is no need for thread cutting.
